How NPEngine Came to Be..

When some friends came to us for help setting up a website for their new nonprofit, we scoured the web searching for existing comprehensive solutions at affordable prices. The ones we found were either underwhelming, or excessively over-priced. They either lacked critical features, or were too difficult to be used by nonprofits without technically inclined staff.

After finding no satisfying recommendation, we decided to just build them the site ourselves. As a bunch of erstwhile hackers, we had little experience in the nonprofit world. So we started at the beginning, learning about the nuts and bolts of nonprofits. We then applied the knowledge we had acquired from creating several web 2.0 applications to the unique problems faced by nonprofits on the web. NPEngine is the result.
